Curtain Wall Sky

The series Poliedra Sky curtain walls systems show a contemporary taste and great technology applicable and adaptable to any architectural context.
Poliedra Sky liberates the architect from any structural tie and from any type of material allowing the creation of any project or cultural expression... whether its restructuring or brand new constructions. Metra specialises in supplying special customised profiles.

Design and performances

Poliedra Sky therefore is not just aesthetics but also strongly contemporary and innovative, manufacturing increasingly complex geometrical shapes combining glass, stone, wood and composites. Coverings and finishing’s are numerous and extraordinarily exciting, shiny, matte, extra shiny, oxidised, scratch-resistant, self-cleaning, etc... Poliedra Sky photovoltaic systems and thermal break profiles make it all possible in the sector of energy saving and sustaining applications... Metra guarantees total sealing properties against all atmospheric elements, incredible life span, and thermal insulation for all weather and latitudes.

Nowadays buildings covered with curtain walls structures require more evolved and complete systems to achieve particular geometric shapes, even complex, and to enliven the curtain walls with dynamic and airy pictures.
Thanks to its aesthetics, tightness and energy-saving features, the Poliedra-Sky system can be employed both in building and in restyling, replacing or integrating new volumes. By using profiles and proper fittings, the system allows to make vertical or horizontal curtain walls, such as:

  • Traditional curtain walls (mullions and transoms)

  • With “standard” elements (glass check edge)

  • With “structural” elements (glued glass without visible metallic parts)

Other particular structures are also possible such as:
Roofs, pyramids, skylights, verandas, patios, solariums, winter gardens.

System Technical Description
